Sourcing a Dari translation

It is fairly likely that you do not speak Dari yourself, and it is also probable that you have never dealt with Dari translation services before. Therefore, we suggest that you take the time to source a professional translation company that you can trust entirely and that you have confidence in after speaking to them.

At Lingua Translations, we believe that trust plays a major part in all of our Dari translation services. We trust our expert linguists, just as we anticipate you will trust us once you get in touch and realise just how passionate we are about language, translation, and providing you with the best Dari translation service possible.

We only work with in-country Dari translators who have at least five years’ professional Dari translation experience, and who are experts in the specific field you require.

Dari translation – a language overview

One of the two official languages in Afghanistan, alongside Pashto, Dari refers to the modern Persian dialects spoken in the Central Asian country. ‘Dari’ is the term officially recognised and promoted in 1964 by the Afghan government for the Persian language.

Dari is more widely spoken than Pashto as a mother tongue, making it the lingua franca. With the Iranian and Afghan Persian dialects being so very closely related, they are seen to be mutually intelligible, with only minor differences appearing in the vocabulary and phonology.

The language uses the Persian alphabet as its writing system. The origin of Dari comes from the middle Persian which was spoken during the rule of the Sassanid dynasty.
